The impact of the Health Precinct

The $5 billion Sunshine Coast Health Precinct is the largest health precinct in the Southern Hemisphere and delivers access to health services previously only provided in the state capital.

The Health Precinct is estimated to contribute $3.2 billion to the Sunshine Coast economy and around $450 million each year in operational expenditure. Already employing more than 6000 people, the health and wellness industry is the largest employer on the Sunshine Coast with projections for employment across the precinct to grow to 15,000.

Anchored by the Sunshine Coast University public and private hospitals, the health precinct continues to grow with leading allied health, wellness, support, rehabilitation, and natural medicine providers.
